Ornate Wedding Invitation - Derick & Maris

This invite was made for couple having an intimate wedding ceremony and reception. 

"Just a small, simple invitation card will do", as they requested.

So with the details and free hand on the design given to me, I thought of making an ornate shaped card 

and applied it on the top edge.

The card size is 4"x 6", printed on cream linen cardstock. I think cream with lime green is a perfect 

color combination. 
Overall, I like the fresh and clean look of this invite.

If you need a larger invitation card using this shape,  4" x 7" and 5"x7" sizes would fit in a regular envelope. Cards of more than 7" length would require customized envelopes.

Exploding Box - Wedding of James & Sherryl

Hi and welcome to INKpressive! Today I'm sharing a project that I made for James and Sherryl's wedding. I was so delighted when Sherryl (Macky, as I call her) called up one day and told me that she wanted me to make her wedding invitations. Our friendship has matured over the years. Macky and I were classmates in med school and were great partners in medical clerkship. Parting ways after internship and pursuing our careers, we met again after 2 years in a hospital where we worked as ER physicians. She was also instrumental to the meeting of my future husband.

Okay, now let's go on with my project ... (LOL)

The bride requested for an exploding box. The theme that she had in mind was a "family wedding" that focuses not only to the bride and groom but includes their 2 kids and the bride and groom's families. 

This concept was very challenging, huh! But the good part is, she allowed me to do a free hand on the invites with just one restriction - no black color.

Since she was only going to order thirty pieces, I suggested to make the large double exploding box for her. That's it. Then I was off on my own, conceptualizing (and dreaming) about the design....

My interpretation of a "family wedding" is: mix of young and old vibes. So, I personally chose Note To Self digi collection by Echo Park , which has a mix of vintage and modern elements as you can see below.

Now here's the box after dressing it up with a red satin ribbon and a circle tag... Love it!!!

 

The outer box is 3"x3" in size and the inner box is 2.5'x2.5". I also created a nice cake in red and cream, decorated with flowers. Look at the cake..

I really like this quote that they incorporated on their invitation.

I also decorated the lid with a special handmade paper from India, with swirly gold dots. I had collected this paper for a long time, you can rarely find it in stores now.

Now that's me with the red shoes, seated on the front. This was a shot taken at the photobooth during the wedding reception. With me are my pals, Dr. Kalbi (right), and Dr. Dagalea (left, back row) with her boyfriend, Percy.

Little Ballerina - Pop-Up invitation

Hello! Welcome once again to INKpressive invitations. I really enjoy making pop-up cards because they're fun!  I'm so excited to post the newest addition to my pop-up designs for little girls.I call these

Little Ballerina.

This card features a ballerina pop-up on a pose dancing on stage. The lovely stage curtain was printed on the card. I embellished the ballerina's hair with a pink rhinestone. And look at the cute floating die-cut musical note! Details of the invite goes on the blank space below.

Up next is a card featuring a tutu, with cherry blossoms printed on the background, and some cute floating colorful butterflies. I also embellished the dress with rhinestones.

Card size is 4"x4" (4"x8" when opened).

On my next update, I will show you how the front of the card looks like  coz I haven't really figured out what to put there yet (LOL), and the envelope that goes with it.

Fresh Design - Spring Lilac

Hi! Today is just "designing" day for me. I've been thinking a lot about creating something new lately and I'm really itching to play with my new tools. Here's something fresh that would be "IN" for next year.  How about for a wedding or a debutant?....

I call this creation "Spring Lilac" .

Notice the intricate doily cutout on the top edge. Isn't it the loveliest? 

Here's a closer look.... The lilac cardstock also features a shimmery butterfly pattern.

I embellished the belt with a delicate die cut bird and bird cage then topped it with a pink satin bow. A small sweet flower with pink rhinestone completes the look.  

To Open.

Simply slide the belt down to open the semi-transparent envelope wrap to reveal the inner panel of the invitation card, which is cream-yellow layered onto the lilac cardstock.

The Suite.

Here's the whole invitation suite laid out for you. It includes 2 panels,

an envelope wrap, and an embellished belt.

Pop Up Card Samples

This card was made for Father's Day. The front panel was decorated with chipboard phrase "grand" These alphas were inked then sprayed with glimmer. This card measures 4.5"x4.2"

This sweet purse was custom-made for my mom to use as a wedding gift holder. 

Inspired by Queen Marie Antoinette's fashion style, this purse features sweet colors of pastel pink and green; satin ribbon, lace, pearls, and roses. 

This can be customized for 18th birthday and quinceanera,

The handle is layered with pink satin ribbon; The purse's flap s decorated with 3d roses, leaves, ribbon, pin,
imported lace, and a floating butterfly. All off which are handmade (except for the lace).

My Little Lady Bug

Hi there! welcome to INKpressive Invitations. Hope you like my ladybug themed purse favor box, which can also serve as party invitation holder.

The purse is made of 220gsm thick cardstock of shimmery quality. It is printed digitally so you get sharp prints that is also water-proof.

The handle features a double layer of paper and it is movable, since it is attached with a brad.

Garden Themed - Allan and Mae

Welcome to INKpressive Invitations. Today I'm posting one of my favorite creations - a garden themed wedding invitation with paper lace envelope. The motif of this set is red and golden yellow. It features a semi-transparent envelope with a lacey border. It looks very delicate!

 

The invite has two panels that are 5"x7" in size, layered with a slightly larger red shimmery cardstock.

The invite was printed on cream colored shimmery cardstock.

The belt was made of textured matte red cardstock.

 

The matching invitation label was also printed on cream shimmery cardstock.

And these are thank you tags, designed to coordinate with the invitations. 

The tags are 2 inches in size and are printed on shimmery cardstock.
